Matt La Von  

Matt La Von has been involved in virtually every facet of the music industry.

As a performing musician, he enjoys working in all genres including Jazz, Rock, R&B, Funk and variations of improvised music.

As a composer, Matt La Von has been prolific in the areas of orchestral and electronic music for film and television. He also has a large body of work that falls under the categories of modern jazz, avant garde, and experimental improvised music.

As a teacher, he enjoys teaching beginner to advanced saxophone technique, beginner to intermediate flute and clarinet technique, music theory, jazz theory, and jazz improvisation for any instrument.  
Matt La Von attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia where he received a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies in 1999. While in Philadelphia, he enjoyed working in the Jazz and Night Club scene throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey. He moved to New York City in January of 2001 where he continued studying composition and began a more intense focus on original music and music for film and television. He has also developed his own studio, where he personally engineers the vast majority of his compositions and recordings.
